LOS ANGELES, CA  [Wednesday Jan.24.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Dreamgirls, the smash hit musical starring Beyonce Knowles, Jamie Foxx, Eddie Murphy and Jennifer Hudson, earned itself a leading 8 Oscar nominations yesterday morning.

While shut out of the Best Picture category, the film dominated Best Original Song with three nods for
"Listen," "Love You I Do" and "Patience."

Jennifer Hudson and Eddie Murphy were each tapped for Best Supporting, and the film is up for the categories of costume design, art direction, and sound mixing.
