LOS ANGELES, CA  [Tuesday Jan.16.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- It's been announced that The Killers will be featured on the soundtrack for "Control," a film about the life of Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis.

The band covered the song "Shadowplay" for the movie, which is based on the book "Touching From A Distance," written by Curtis' widow Deborah.

Joy Division offshoot New Order has also recorded music for the picture, and there's also word that it may be re-recording a handful of Joy Division tracks.

"Control" is slated for a September release, and stars Samantha Morton as Deborah Curtis.
