Fall Out Boy and Jay-Z Come Together in "Car Crash"
Rap meets rock on new album

by Laura Katz

Fall Out Boy
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Friday Jan.12.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Fall Out Boy owes a great deal of gratitude to rapper Jay-Z.

The hip-hop heavy collaborated with the band on their new album, but not without a little bit of good old-fashioned begging. Finally, Jay-Z agreed, and the result is the highly-anticipated track "Car Crash."

Guitarist Joe Trohman told MTV, "He's a hard man to lock down. No matter how good friends you are with someone, if they're really busy [you] let them go do their thing and if they have the time to come and make a cameo, that's awesome. [And] we know the guy is real busy, especially with his new record being out and stuff."
