LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday Jan.11.2007]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Nominees have been announced for the 38th annual NAACP Image Awards, and Miss Mary and Beyonce K head the pack.

The soul divas each scored four nods, and will be competing against one another in the categories of outstanding female artist and outstanding song, Blige's "Be Without You" and Knowles' "Irreplaceable."

Multiple nominations seem to be the hallmark of this year's awards - Gnarls Barkley, India.Arie, Corinne Bailey Rae, Prince, Jay-Z, and John Legend have all received more than one nod.

Corinne Bailey Rae, Cherish, LeToya, Lupe Fiasco, and Mario Vazquez have also been tapped in the outstanding new artist category.
