by Neil Haislop

Tim McGraw
NASHVILLE, TN  [Tuesday Dec.26.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- After pulling ahead of Madonna and grossing just under $90 Million, the Tim McGraw - Faith Hill tour became the highest grossing tour overall for a while, but set a record in country music becoming the highest grossing coutnry tour ever, history, and the second highest grossing tour overall for 2006.

The only act that stood in the way of Soul2Soul II was the Rolling Stones tour. They had enough stadium and arena shows on the books in late 2006 to assure their becoming the top act over all for the year with an estimated $114 to 116 million dollar final gross.

KENNY CHESNEY became the second highest grossing country tour at $66 million dollars, while becoming the top ticket-selling tour, and the tour with the highest percentage of actual attendance.
