Beyonce Talks About Depression
Singer had hard time after bandmates quit

by Laura Katz

Beyonce Knowles
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Tuesday Dec.26.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- "Irreplaceable" superstar Beyonce Knowles recently spoke up about depression, and the role it has played in her life.

The singer revealed that she became depressed after Destiny's Child bandmates Letoya Luckett and Lativia Roberson left the group, causing her to remain in her room for days and refuse eating.

At the time, Knowles didn't talk about her depressed state as to not bring negative attention to the band, who had just won their first Grammy.
