LOS ANGELES, CA [Wednesday Dec.20.2006] /Mix103FM.com/ -- Justin Timberlake was put through bootcamp-style training for his role in the new drama "Alpha Dog," because director Nick Cassavetes felt it would help them bond as a cast.
Timberlake, who plays drug dealer Frankie Ballenbacher said, "That's where we found a chemistry with all of us. We literally went through what hockey players go through to train. It was hours and hours of weight lifting, six days a week."
"We'd do drills on the beach. On Saturdays we would box.
It was pretty intense training. I've toured since I was 14 years old and I've never done anything as physically taxing as this."
