The title is the only artist album released in 2006 to certify for sales of more than 3 million units, and has accomplished this feat strictly through traditional and online retail outlets without the aid of promotional record club sales.

The band's latest CD was released only seven months ago and remains the biggest debut of the year, selling more than 721,000 units in its first week of release. Me And My Gang is the best selling artist album of the year with over 2.9 million units scanned. Me And My Gang is the only title in 2006 to hold the #1 position on Nielsen SoundScan’s Top 200 chart for three consecutive weeks.
