NASHVILLE, TN [Monday Dec.11.2006] /Mix103FM.com/ -- Carrie Underwood makes her first appearance on Oprah this coming Monday, December 11, for a â€Ŧquot; What's on Your iPod? themed show that also includes music A listers, Josh Groban, Michael Buble and music icon Tony Bennett as special guests. "I was very nervous to perform on Oprah's show, Carrie admits, "but she made me feel so welcome and comfortable during my visit. Our interview felt more like a conversation between just the two of us."
Amid the rush of this past weekend's Kennedy Center Honors, where she performed with Kenny Rogers in a Dolly Parton tribute, and subsequently taking home 5 major honors at Monday's 2006 Billboard Music Awards " including Album of the Year " the Oprah airing marks another incredible experience in a whirlwind week. Carrie enthused, "I began this week singing for the President of the United States and honoring the amazing Dolly Parton. I end my week singing for Oprah Winfrey and performing with Tony Bennett " what more could I possibly ask for?"
Fans can look for a performance of Carrie's Grammy-nominated, six-week #1 single, "Jesus, Take the Wheel," as well as a musical finale featuring all of the guests.
