LOS ANGELES, CA  [Monday Dec.11.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Rihanna has just signed on to be the face of CoverGirl Cosmetics.

The R&B singer will be shooting a series of ads for the company, joining the ranks of celebrity models like Queen Latifah and Brandy.

Rihanna said in a statement, "I've loved makeup and dreamed of being a CoverGirl since I was a little girl. Growing up, my mother was a makeup artist and I was fascinated watching her apply lipcolor, blush and mascara. Now I get to be surrounded by all of my favorites from CoverGirl!"

The campaign is set to launch summer of next year.
