LOS ANGELES, CA  [Monday Nov.20.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- The Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced initial dates for their upcoming tour, which begins January 12th in Oklahoma.

The band is hittting the road for three months on the arena tour, which will wrap up in Houston on March 7th.

The Peppers are among the nominees for Best Group at the 33rd Annual People's Choice Awards, which will air live on CBS January 9th.
