New Panic! Album In the Works
Band says: "expect the unexpected"

by Laura Katz

Panic! At The Disco
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday Nov.16.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Panic! At The Disco has revealed a few details about their upcoming sophomore album.

The group has revealed that the follow-up will be a significant departure from their wildly successful debut "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out."

Panic frontman Brandon Urie told Billboard, "The next album is going to be stuff that we've never tried before. That's the stuff that interests us in our music - just exploring new instruments we've never tried and new sounds that are appealing to us. You'll find a lot of stuff you'd never expect."

One of those instruments is the piano -- Guitarist Ryan Ross and drummer Spencer Smith have been taking lessons, According to Urie, "We're all trying to improve as musicians. We try to take control of our own destiny, I guess."

In the meantime, the Plain White T's have been added to Panic's "Nothing Rhymes with Circus" arena tour at the last minute. The T's will join the boys under the big top from 11/13 through 11/27.
