Toby Keith Honored By NSAI
Choice for Songwriter/Artist Of The Year

NASHVILLE, TN [Friday Oct.27.2006] /Mix103FM.com/ -- For the third year, superstar Toby Keith has been named Nashville Songwriter Association International's (NSAI) 2006 Songwriter/Artist of the Year. In the past year Keith released his latest platinum selling album, "White Trash With Money," which features 12 tracks that he wrote or co-wrote including the hit singles "Get Drunk and Be Somebody," "A Little Too Late," and his current single "Crash Here Tonight." "Crash Here Tonight" is also featured on the soundtrack to Keith's debut feature film, the Paramount Classics and CMT Films BROKEN BRIDGES. The release, on his own label Show Dog Nashville, was the highest debut for a country soundtrack in Soundscan history. The 14-track album boasts eight songs written or co-written by Keith, seven of which Keith himself performs including the title track that features label-mate Lindsey Haun. Haun also helms the hit single from the soundtrack "Broken."
