Snow Patrol Bassist Hurt
6 Shows Canceled in France and Germany

by Laura Katz

Snow Patrol
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Friday Oct.27.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Snow Patrol bassist Paul Wilson has badly injured his left arm and shoulder, forcing the band to cut short their European tour.

According to the band's official website, www.snowpatrol.com, doctors have advised Paul to take 4 weeks off due to the severity of the injury. Gary wrote in a letter of apology to fans: "Paul is gutted and, the trooper that he is, was keen not to cancel anything. However sense must prevail. His injury is serious and if not dealt with now could land him in very dangerous territory in the future."

6 shows have been canceled altogether: 4 in France and 2 in Germany, but Lightbody has assured fans that they'll be back in the saddle come November, when the Patrol kicks off their UK/Ireland tour.
