LOS ANGELES, CA [Thursday Oct.26.2006] /Mix103FM.com/ -- My Chemical Romance have Madonna to thank for helping the band with their last album...at least her publicist anyway.
PR giant Liz Rosenberg helped the group secure Liza Minelli to sing on "Mama," a track off of their latest album "The Black Parade."
According to frontman Gerard Way, the band had Minelli in mind the whole time, but the collaboration never happened.
He said, "We have discussed a woman forever but then I eventually I just did the woman's voice. I was like, 'It just seems like such a cop out.'" That's when producer Robert Cavallo stepped up to the plate and contacted Rosenberg.
