Snow Patrol Begins European Tour
Dedicates tune to soccer team

by Laura Katz

Snow Patrol
COPENHAGEN, DENMARK  [Friday Oct.13.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Snow Patrol kicked off their European tour earlier this week with a stop in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Frontman Gary Lightbody made a couple of dedications, one to the crowd, saying that Copenhagen was one of the "most beautiful cities in the world," and another to the Northern Ireland Soccer team.

The singer expressed his deep affection for the 'football' lads, saying, "We're only a tiny small little country, and we beat Spain the other day. This song is for the Northern Ireland Football Team - I love them!"
