LOS ANGELES, CA  [Wednesday Oct.4.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Beyonce and her peeps are breathing a bit easier after winning a copyright lawsuit brought against them in 2005.

Jennifer Armour, an aspiring artist, had sent Matthew Knowles a demo of "Gotta Little Bit Of Love For You" in March 2003. She then filed the suit, claiming that Beyonce and Co. copied the hook and the lyrics.

Beyonce's album had already been completed by then, but the court compared the songs side-by-side just to make sure. The result? They found the tunes to be
"substantially dissimilar."

Beyonce said of the battle, "It's unfortunate that lawsuits such as this one occur, but I am grateful and relieved to have this behind me and I am eager to move on."
