Keane's Tom Chaplin Labeled A "Knob" by Zutons' Frontman
McCabe: "Drugs and bands go hand in hand"

by Laura Katz

Keane
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Tuesday Sep.26.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Dave McCabe seems to be kicking poor Tom Chaplin while he's down.

The Zutons' frontman recently expressed his less than encouraging feelings about Tom's stint in rehab.

"Drugs and bands go hand in hand. All those stories are true. But anyone who goes into rehab over coke is a bit of a knob. It was quite a shock to hear the guy from Keane was getting treatment. It was it rather mystifying. Whenever we've seen them he's been the same so there were no signs."

Keane recently had to cancel their US tour due to the severity of Chaplin's illness.
