According to Nelly, "The world becomes this huge buffet table for you to take what you want. That's about when I started to feel like a fraud as a musician."

The singer also revealed that she "had this hang-up about Sheryl Crow. I thought she was amazing to me she was the one woman in the industry who deserved all this respect."
With Crow having her first hit at 34, The 21 year old Furtado felt like she hadn't paid her dues.
