LOS ANGELES, CA  [Friday Sep.8.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- The Red Hot Chili Peppers are up for yet another award, but instead of a Moonman, this time it'll be a chainsaw.

Yep that's right. There's a new awards show coming to town that honors music and horror all in one evening.

Fuse, the music TV Network, and Fangoria Entertainment, the leader in the horror world, have teamed up to host the brand-new show "The Chainsaw Awards," set be held in LA on October 15th.

According to the RHCP website, fans can vote for their faves at www.fuse.tv between September 1st and Friday, October 13th...spooky! Other music acts in the mix...Gnarls Barkley, AFI, 30 Seconds To Mars, to name a few.

The show will premiere on Fuse October 22nd.
