LOS ANGELES, CA  [Tuesday Aug.8.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Two movie soundtracks top the list of new music releases for today, August 8.

After winning a Grammy award in 2006 for best compilation for Garden State, actor Zach Braff is back to blend a new set of songs for his latest movie, "The Last Kiss."
"The Last Kiss" soundtrack features tracks by Snow Patrol, Coldplay, Athlete, Fiona Apple, Remy Zero, Aimee Mann, and more.

Fans of R&B and dance may want to check out the "Step Up" soundtrack featuring Kelis, Chris Brown, Ciara and more. Kelis can be heard on the track "80s Joint," while Brown contributes "Say Goodbye." Ciara adds to the mix with the song "Get Up."

Newcomer Cassie also releases her self-titled debut album, featuring the hit single "Me & U."

And in rock news, UK rockers Dirty Pretty Things makes their debut with the 11-track "Waterloo To Anywhere." Dirty Pretty Things features Carl Barat, formerly of the critically acclaimed band The Libertines.

Other artists releasing CDs today include Aly & AJ, Breaking Benjamin, Ani DeFranco, Slayer, and the Gin Blossoms.
