PHILADELPHIA, PA  [Monday Jul.10.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- The 19th annual Farm Aid concert will take place September 30th, at the 25,000-capacity Tweeter Center in Camden, New Jersey.

Dave Matthews, Neil Young, Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp will headline the benefit show, which raises money for American family farms. Matthews, Young, Nelson and Mellencamp are also on Farm Aid's board of directors.

Farm Aid 2006 will urge Americans to choose food from family farms, creating growing opportunities for more family farmers. Artists at the 2006 concert will show support for activities that keep family farmers on the land. Since its inception, Farm Aid has raised awareness about the critical role of family farms and raised more than $29 million to build and strengthen family farm food production.

"Everyone, everywhere deserves access to family farm food," said Farm Aid president Willie Nelson in a news release. "The Farm Aid concert brings us all together to support one of our most important national resources, our family farmers."

More acts will be added to the concert line-up as they are confirmed, and tickets for Farm Aid go on sale to the general public July 22nd.
