NEW YORK, NY  [Tuesday May.23.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Mariah Carey is taking fans on a fun-filled ride this summer.

On Friday, the Grammy-winning singer announced a headlining tour of North American that will see Mariah performing in 30 cities across the US and Canada.

Called "The Adventures of Mimi: The Voice, The Hits, The Tour," the trek begins August 5th in Miami and ends October 10th in Phoenix. Tickets for most shows go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 2nd.

According to Mariah's official web site, the tour will feature the "most elaborate concert production of Mariah's career" and will feature the singer performing hits spanning 15 years.

Joining Mariah on tour for selected dates during her first month of shows is dancehall artist Sean Paul. Special surprise guests are also expected to stop by the shows.

Mariah is touring in support of her six-times platinum album "The Emancipation of Mimi," which won three Grammys earlier this year. "Mimi" was also the biggest-selling album of 2005 and has sold over 9 million units worldwide to date.
