LOS ANGELES, CA  [Friday May.19.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- The Foo Fighters will be back in action this summer, when the band launches its much anticipated acoustic tour.

According to the Foo Fighters' official web site, the group will play seven shows at intimate venues across the US.

Joining the Foo Fighters for the second, acoustic installment of the In Your Honor Tour are special guests Petra Haden on violin, Rami Jaffee on keyboards, Drew Hester on percussion and former Foo Fighter Pat Smear on Guitar.

Tickets for all seven shows go on sale May 19th at 4 pm Local Time. Opening acts for these shows will be Timmy Curran in July and Frank Black in August.
