LOS ANGELES, CA  [Friday May.5.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Depeche Mode is "Recording the Angel."

The band has teamed up with Live Here Now to record 50 shows on Depeche Mode's current world tour for release as limited edition CDs and digital downloads.

Depeche Mode began the project on April 27th, when they recorded their concert at the Shoreline Amphitheater in California. Various shows will be recorded and made available for purchase throughout the summer.

According to the group's official web site, the concerts will be recorded and mixed, giving fans a unique high-quality souvenir that captures the energy and atmosphere of the Depeche Mode live experience. Each show is available for a limited time as a deluxe 2-CD set or as a digital download with a printable cover and interactive booklet. All artwork features exclusive new photographs by Anton Corbijn. Fans can order at the venue on the night or online.

Depeche Mode will play to more than two and a half million people across 31 countries during the "Touring The Angel" 2005/6 World Tour in support of the band's latest album, "Playing the Angel."
