Kelly Clarkson Teams With Ford
New Clarkson song featured in Ford's 'Bold Moves' campaign.

Kelly Clarkson
NEW YORK, NY  [Friday May.5.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Kelly Clarkson has joined forces with Ford Motor Company for a new advertising initiative and her upcoming summer tour.

Earlier this week, Ford kicked off its "Bold Moves" campaign with a TV ad featuring a new song by Kelly Clarkson called, appropriately enough, "Go."

The commercial premiered during Tuesday's episode of "American Idol."

"It's all about empowerment - taking that initiative and just doing what your dreams are," Clarkson told MTV. "It's a fun song. It fits perfectly with the commercial. I like the whole [empowerment] theme because it's kind of like my life."

The new song "Go" may appear on Kelly Clarkson's next album.

Ford is also teaming with Kelly Clarkson for her upcoming tour. The automaker will be the exclusive automotive sponsor of Clarkson's 24-city summer concert tour, which begins in West Palm Beach, Florida, on June 30th. At each stop on the tour, a fan will win a new Ford.

Along with their promotional partnership, Ford and Clarkson are working together to raise funds for breast cancer research. A portion of the tickets sold for Clarkson's summer concert tour will be donated to Ford's Warriors in Pink effort supporting the Susan G. Komen Foundation Race for the Cure.
