Fall Out Boy Returning To The Studio
Fall Out Boy plans to start recording new album in June.

Fall Out Boy
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday May.4.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Fall Out Boy heads back to the studio next month to begin recording the follow-up to their breakthrough album, "From Under The Cork Tree."

Bassist Pete Wentz talked about the forthcoming album in several journal postings on the band's official web site. Says Pete, "We now have officially 22 songs for the new record."

Fall Out Boy plans to record the album -- which will be produced by Neal Avron and Babyface -- in Los Angeles. The new set is said to be more conceptual than the last record and will be "a commentary on the scene." On his blog, Pete reassures fans that the "new record is not going to be some huge change from our last two. It will be a natural progression."

Pete also dismisses rumors that Taking Back Sunday and My Chemical Romance will make guest appearances on the next Fall Out Boy album.

"Taking Back Sunday and My Chemical Romance are not doing guest vocals on our new record," Pete clarifies. "We only said that we thought they'd be two bands from our scene that we thought we got along with and respected and it'd be cool to collaborate with either at some point. But that is not on the agenda right now so don't get the wrong idea."

Fall Out Boy hopes to release the new album in late fall or early winter.
