INDIO, CA [Friday Apr.28.2006] /Mix103FM.com/ -- Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West will take the stage at this weekend's Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, California, organizers announced Thursday.
West has been added to Saturday's line-up and will perform on the main stage after his friend and fellow rapper Common.
Coachella is legendary for the scope of its talent bill, and this year's artist roster is no exception.
Among those scheduled to perform during the two-day festival are Depeche Mode, Madonna, Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Ros, James Blunt, Daft Punk, Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, Matisyahu, She Wants Revenge, Massive Attack, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Bloc Party, Coheed and Cambria, My Morning Jacket, TV On The Radio, Digable Planets, Jazzanova, and Wolf Parade.
Coachella is also known as a great place to catch up-and-coming acts. This year, watch for breaking bands Nine Black Alps, Wolfmother, the Editors, the Magic Numbers, and hip-hop act Gnarls Barkley, featuring Gorillaz co-producer Danger Mouse and Cee-Lo.
