RICHMOND, VA  [Wednesday Apr.26.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Next month, Nelly is going to bat for kids in need.

The St. Louis rapper will be in Richmond, Virginia on May 2nd to host a celebrity softball tournament to benefit his 4Sho4Kids Foundation, which helps kids born with developmental disabilities, children born addicted to drugs, and inner city youth.

The charity event takes place at The Diamond -- home to the minor-league baseball team, the Richmond Braves.

Along with Nelly, celebrities scheduled to take part in the game include actress Gabrielle Union, Shawn Barber of the Philadelphia Eagles, Ahman Green of the Green Bay Packers, St. Lunatics rapper Murphy Lee, Goodie Mob's Big Gipp, and more to be announced.
