NEW YORK, NY  [Thursday Apr.20.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Could a collaboration between Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey be in the works?

If producer and artist Jermaine Dupri has his way, we may be hearing a song featuring the two singers.

According to MTV.com, Dupri has mentioned that he'd like to bring his two favorite female singers together for a duet. Those artists are his girlfriend, Janet Jackson, and his longtime associate and collaborator Mariah Carey.

In an interview with MTV Radio, Carey said Dupri hasn't talked to her about doing the duet but added she would seriously consider teaming up with Janet. "I love Janet," said Carey, who's been a big fan of Jackson since "Control" was released.
